10th EAAE PhD Workshop Budapest 2024, 5-7 June
The PhD workshop in Budapest welcomes PhD students at any stage of their PhD, as well as students who just completed their PhD at the time of the workshop. Both scientific program and themes will be defined in more details in the next months by the Scientific Committee. The workshop accepts two different types of submissions. In the “finished papers” submission, students present the papers that have been selected for this format (20 minutes for each presentation), and the discussion will be opened by a discussant (10 minutes for each paper) - papers will be distributed in advance. This a ”classic type” of full paper submission considered by most conferences. In the “paper proposals” submissions, the time allocated for each presentation and discussion is 15 minutes. These types of submissions include a broad idea and basic research concept, presented in 5 minutes, followed by a 10 minutes discussion. A website of the workshop with detailed information (fees, location, etc.) will be available starting from October 2023. Contact: Prof. Attila Jambor Chair of the LOC,

ERAE information
The European Review of Agricultural Economics now accepts review articles, and the ERAE Editors
welcome proposals for review articles from EAAE members. Review articles should provide a
comprehensive and scholarly account of a topic that has direct relevance to agricultural economics
(methodological or applied) and that has not recently been covered in the literature. A pre-submission

Q Open makes progress
Open access journal Q Open is making progress:
• We have been informed by Scopus that they have accepted Q Open for indexing. This is an important first step in being included in the major indexes and achieving an impact factor.
• We have a new manuscript transfer arrangement with the ERAE. Manuscripts submitted to the ERAE, but considered a better fit with the objectives of Q Open can now transferred directly for consideration for publication.
• Q Open is also well on track to reach key-performance indicators on growth in the number of manuscripts and in the turn-around time for review.
Finally, we need further support from you.
Q Open invites EAAE members who have written a paper for the EAAE congress in Rennes to submit the paper to the journal. See our website for submission details:

Vacancy ERAE editor
The European Agricultural and Applied Economics Publications Foundation, (EAAEP Foundation), is seeking to appoint a new Editor for the European Review of Agricultural Economics for the period beginning September 2024 (or as soon as possible thereafter). The new appointment is to replace Salvatore Di Falco who will step down end of August. Candidates should have a strong research record in the discipline and proven reviewing expertise. Experience as a member of the Editorial Board of a scientific journal is an advantage. A stimulating vision regarding the position and development of the ERAE should accompany these scholarly requirements. The ability to work in a team and to manage deadlines effectively is definitely required. Deadline for application is February 1.
