Our article “Randomised Controlled Trials for the Evaluation of the CAP: Empirical Evidence about Acceptance by Farmers” has been published in the latest issue of the “German Journal of Agricultural Economics”. We discuss how a Randomised Controlled Trial (RCT) could be used to evaluate agri-environment-climate measures of the CAP. Our empirical results are based on a survey among Austrian farmers who have participated in the measure “Refrain from Silage”.
ECODEAL wurde als Teil vom 2013-2014 Call des BiodivERsA/FACCE-JPI Netzwerks in Auftrag gegeben. Das Projekt läuft seit Jänner 2015 und erfolgt in Kooperation mit Partnerorganisationen aus fünf verschiedenen Ländern unter der Koordination der Lund University in Schweden. ECODEAL beschäftigt sich mit der Frage, ob Ökosystemdienstleistungen wie Bestäubung und Schädlingsbekämpfung die steigenden externen Inputs zumindest teilweise ersetzen bzw. mit ihrer Hilfe höhere Erträge erzielt werden können.

Die ÖROK-Regionalprognose 2030 zeigt, dass der demografische Wandel in vielen österreichischen Gemeinden und Regionen ein wichtiges Thema der nächsten Jahre sein wird. Vor diesem Hintergrund beschlossen die ÖROK-Mitglieder die Einrichtung einer ÖREK-Partnerschaft, die sich mit der Problematik der Bevölkerungsabnahme in einer Reihe von Regionen und Gemeinden sowie den sich daraus ergebenden Herausforderungen und Handlungsmöglichkeiten auseinandersetzen soll.
