ERAE Awards 2023
The Editors of the European Review of Agricultural Economics have chosen the Outstanding Journal Paper for 2023 and the winners of the Referee Awards. The 2023 Award for the ERAE Outstanding Journal Paper goes to Meilin Ma, Carson Reeling, Megan N Hughes, Shalamar Armstrong and Richard Roth for their paper entitled "Comparison of conservation instruments under long-run yield uncertainty and farmer risk aversion" The link to the winning paper can be found here: https://academic.oup.com/erae/article/50/5/1685/7261454
The Referee Awards recognise the contribution of referees to the success and profile of the ERAE and, in a number of cases, the considerable value they add to papers that are finally published in the ERAE. In their selection procedure, the editors considered typical referee qualities as willingness to review, speed and content of the review in terms of relevance, exhaustiveness, constructiveness and consistency in follow-up. The winners of the best referee award of 2023 are: Andreas Drichoutis, Martina Bozzola, David Spielman and Dimitrios Zompas.
Congratulations to all winners!

Review articles
The European Review of Agricultural Economics now accepts review articles, and the ERAE Editors welcome proposals for review articles from EAAE members. Review articles should provide a comprehensive and scholarly account of a topic that has direct relevance to agricultural economics (methodological or applied) and that has not recently been covered in the literature. A pre-submission enquiry is required. If you are interested in writing a review article for ERAE, please send an abstract, outline, and key references to erae.editorialoffice@oup.com

New editor ERAE
The board of the EAAEP Foundation, our publication committee, appointed Alessandro Olper (University of Milano) as a new editor of the European Review of Agricultural Economics. From September 1, 2024 he will replace Salvatore Di Falco, who served the journal very well since September 2018.

Q Open information

Special section for your EU project in Q Open
EU projects provide an excellent opportunity to publish a coherent set of articles. Q Open offers the possibility to publish such sets of articles as a special section in a regular issue. This way, your project results will be much better brought to the attention of other researchers and stakeholders. Also, by publishing your research in Q Open you will satisfy an important requirement of all EU funding in regard to Open Access and Open Science. Those interested in publishing a special section on their EU project in Q Open can contact the coordinating editor, Iain Fraser.

General information
Open access journal Q Open is making progress:
• We have been informed by Scopus that they have accepted Q Open for indexing. This is an important first step in being included in the major indexes and achieving an impact factor.
• We have a new manuscript transfer arrangement with the ERAE. Manuscripts submitted to the ERAE, but considered a better fit with the objectives of Q Open can now transferred directly for consideration for publication.
• Q Open is also well on track to reach key-performance indicators on growth in the number of manuscripts and in the turn-around time for review.
See our website for submission details: https://academic.oup.com/qopen
