The The 29th Annual Conference of the Austrian Society for Agricultural Economics on the topic of “Perspectives on Value-Based Value Chains” took place on September 19 and 20, 2019, at the University of Innsbruck.

Best Presentation Award
The following speakers were awarded the “Best Presentation” award at the conference:
Jan-Hendrik Buhk (Christian-Albrechts University of Kiel), for his presentation: Nitrate Directive and Manure Allocation: Consequences of Changing Storage Capacity
Michael Braito (BOKU University, Vienna), for his presentation: Characterising crop farmers’ viewpoints on soil management
Marius Michels (Georg-August University of Göttingen), for his presentation: Sustainability in crop protection – Willingness to pay for crop protection smartphone apps
Green Event
The conference met all requirements for a „Green Event“ and was certified (certificate). What is a Green Event? Green events consider environmental and sustainability aspects throughout their organization: They pay particular attention to climate-friendly mobility and nutrition, conserve resources and waste, and place great emphasis on communication and social participation.
