The thesis provides a comprehensive introduction to the foundation and methodological approach. Mr. Penzinger applies a sophisticated methodology, conjoint analysis and the subsequent cluster analysis. The thesis is also characterized by an extremely comprehensive and well-founded empirical application, with a survey of more than 400 consumers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Focus on Agricultural Sociology<br><\/strong>Award winner: DI<sup>in<\/sup><strong>Barbara Enengel<br><br><\/strong>The submitted thesis is titled: <a href=\"https:\/\/oega.boku.ac.at\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Enengel_DA.pdf\">\u201cExcursion and educational tourism as a contribution to integrated, sustainable regional development \u2013 \u200b\u200bA portfolio analysis of international offerings and their transferability to the Obst-H\u00fcgel-Land Nature Park\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" src=\"https:\/\/oega.boku.ac.at\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Preis_200_01.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-656\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>The reviewer, <strong>Ruth Rossier<\/strong> (ETH, Dipl. Agr., Socioeconomics Division), acknowledged the submitted work as being of a very high standard. The thesis creates a sustainability index and uses it to evaluate specific projects in a nature park. Local stakeholders are involved in the evaluation through focus groups, which allows for local acceptance to be determined. The chosen methodological approach is creative, efficient, and solution-oriented.
