The 34^th annual conference of the Austrian Society of Agricultural Economics with the topic “Global challenges for European agri-food systems” will take place from 19^th to 20^th of September 2024 at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna, Austria.

Professor Gabriel Felbermayr (Austrian Institute of Economic Research), Professor Christine Wieck (University of Hohenheim) and Professor Ernst Langthaler (Johannes Kepler University Linz) will address this topic in their plenary lectures.

We welcome contributions to the research papers sessions and suggestions for workshops on the following topics:
·  Agricultural, resource and environmental economics
·  Rural sociology
·  Business economics, development and strategies
·  Organic agriculture
·  Renewable energies
·  Gender issues
·  Rural areas, multi-functionality and ecosystems services
·  Markets, marketing, consumption, consumer behaviour
·  Agricultural policy and law

Contributions focusing on any other area relating to agricultural and food scienceand rural areas are also welcome. 

Submit your two page short paper to the research papers sessions one page outline for workshops outline by the extended deadline 5^th of May2024. It is important to stick to the templates for short papers and outlines, which can be downloaded below.
