General Meeting EAAE
The next general meeting of the EAAE has been scheduled on August 26. The agenda of the meeting will be announced in due time.
EAAE congress 2020
The COVID-19 crisis affects many conferences that have been scheduled in the coming months. The EAAE board closely follows the developments and expects to make a final decision by the end of May about the continuation of the congress in Prague.
The European Review of Agricultural Economics now accepts review articles, and the ERAE Editors welcome proposals for review articles from EAAE members. Review articles should provide a comprehensive and scholarly account of a topic that has direct relevance to agricultural economics (methodological or applied) and that has not recently been covered in the literature. A pre-submission enquiry is required. If you are interested in writing a review article for ERAE, please send an abstract, outline, and key references to firstname.lastname@example.org .
Co-Editors of Eurochoices
The Agricultural Economic Society (AES) and the European Agricultural and Applied Economics Publications Foundation (EAAEP Foundation) are seeking to appoint two new Co-editors for the journal EuroChoices. The new appointments are to replace Csaba Csaki and Ulrich Koester, who will step down in the coming months. Candidates should be well-networked in the agricultural economics profession in Europe, have a good knowledge of the relevant literature and a clear interest in translational activities and policy making. It is vital that co-editors fully understand and in practice embrace the outreach purpose and philosophy of EuroChoices and work with the Chief Editor towards the dissemination of accessible, high quality socio-economic research and ideas to a wide body of readers in the fields of policy and practice, many of whom are not reached by traditional scientific journals. Proven reviewing expertise and experience as a member of the Editorial Board of a scientific journal is an advantage. A stimulating vision regarding the position and development of EuroChoices should accompany these requirements. Ability to work in a team and to manage deadlines effectively is definitely required. Given the composition of the editorial team, colleagues in the German speaking countries, Central, Eastern and Mediterranean Europe are especially requested to apply.
